Children's room furniture made to measure
Furniture for a child’s room to suit their age and height: safe materials, a wardrobe up to the ceiling, a study area and enough storage for toys and books.
How we do it
Safe materials
Low-emission board, rounded corners, secure fixing to the wall so the furniture can't tip over.
A place to study
A desk or computer table to the child's height, shelves for books and room for study equipment.
Toy storage
Low open sections and drawers the child can reach themselves, and closed cabinets for everything else.
Wardrobe up to the ceiling
We use the full height: seasonal and rarely used items up top, everyday things at a convenient level.
Room to grow
We design it so the furniture still fits as the child grows — no full replacement in a few years.
Colour and decor
Calm combinations or bright accents — we choose together, showing samples at the measurement.

Made-to-measure children's furniture — what we pay attention to
A children’s room changes along with the child, which is why made-to-measure furniture wins over ready-made here: it can be designed to stay convenient for more than a year. We start from the child’s height, the room’s area and what needs to fit — a sleeping place, a study area, storage for clothes and toys — and work it all out for the specific space.
Safety first
In children’s furniture, safety matters more than decor. We use boards with low formaldehyde emission, round off sharp corners, fit soft-close so drawers and doors don’t catch fingers, and always fix tall wardrobes to the wall to rule out tipping. We fit good-quality hardware — it stands up to active use by children.
A place to study
The work area is a separate, important part of the children’s room. We size the desk to the child’s height (with room to grow where possible), add shelves for books and exercise books nearby, room for a monitor or laptop and sockets in a convenient spot. A well-organised work area really does affect how a child settles down to homework.
Storage the child can reach themselves
For the room to stay tidy, some of the storage should be at a child's level: low open shelves and containers for toys, hooks for a backpack and clothes at the child's height. The rest — seasonal and rarely used items — we hide in the wardrobe's upper sections. This way the child learns to tidy up, and grown-up things stay out of the way.
Furniture that grows with the child
We design the children's room with the coming years in mind: a neutral base that's easy to add to or restyle as the child grows, instead of redoing the whole room every few years. It's both more practical and better value.
Price and timelines
The price depends on the set of furniture, the materials and the hardware. We name the exact price after the measurement and 3D visualisation, and fix the timelines and guarantee in the contract. The designer visit with samples commits you to nothing.
Frequently asked questions
How safe are the materials for a children’s room?
We use low-emission boards, round off corners, fit soft-close and fix tall wardrobes to the wall. For a children’s room, safety is the main criterion, not decor.
Can the furniture be made to grow with the child?
Yes. We design a neutral base that’s easy to add to as the child grows, instead of replacing the whole room every few years.
Do you make a study area?
Yes — a desk to the child's height, shelves for books, room for equipment and sockets in a convenient spot. The work area is designed together with the rest of the furniture.
How long does a children’s room take to make?
Usually 2 to 4 weeks depending on the set of furniture and material availability. We fix the exact timeline in the contract after the measurement.
Why is the measurement paid?
At the measurement the designer takes dimensions, selects materials and decor and draws up a full project with a 3D visualisation. That's several hours of work, which give a real price instead of a 'from' figure from an advert.
